Birmingham centre and head office opened its practice in July 2006 and recently acquired Abacus hearing aid centre in Leeds in May 2009.

Owner John Rowland’s has created a successful hearing healthcare company and our success is underpinned by positive approach to work and high ethical standards we follow to help people with hearing loss. Before coming to see you my hearing loss was such that I began to shun social gatherings, dining out in restaurants or going to the theatre. Dear John

I was very sceptical as I had been there before and resulting hearing aids prescribed had been less than satisfactory.

I had tried both "on the ear" and “in the ear” aids, they had improved my hearing but were not specific and consequently when in background noise this was also increased I was no better off.

I remember John's analogy at the time when he said the hearing aid you have been using is like a Mini at full revs whereas I can now offer you a Rolls Royce which is just purring along. He was correct because as soon as I fitted the first of the two aids I was aware of the clarity of voice of both John and my wife.

What was even more impressive was when I stepped outside because the noise of the traffic on the main road about 50 yards away was just a hum, with my previous hearing aid it was a raucous cacophony of noise. I then tried driving and I could hear clear conversation alongside and behind me and the noise of tyres on the road was once again just a hum whereas before I could not distinguish conversation from background noise.

It all seemed too good to be true, I repeated all this with the other new aid and there was very little to choose between them but I eventually decided to go with the "Delta 8". I agreed to a thirty day money back guaranteed trial and have not looked back since.

You will notice I have used the plural definition above as this was the first time I had been advised that my hearing had deteriorated in both ears equally.
